This top London venue is situated in a breath-taking livery hall celebrating the work of the Guild of Plasterers. The Hall has décor throughout of the neo-classical style created by Robert Adam in the 18th Century.
Plaisterers' Hall is a meeting of old and new, an elegant, highly decorative, liverey hall rich in history, within a thoroughly modern setting. This meeting of old and new is the theme for the design. I wanted to communicate a contemporary and modern feel which eluded to the decorative and spacious nature of the venue.
With a little creative licence the apostrophe (in Plaisterer's) has become heavily embellished to create the scroll icon, which in turn represents the ornate plasterwork throughout the hal.
Gorillaweb was selected from a competitive 3 way pitch to take the project forward.
